Steele set a 54-hole, Bearkat record, firing a 17-under, 199, while finishing fourth and besting eight top-100 golfers at the Warrior Princeville Makai Invitational in Hawaii on Tuesday. He led Sam Houston to a team 54-hole record while earning sixth, ahead of three-top 50 programs, including Ole Miss, Colorado and Georgia Southern.
