Iowa Assistant Coach A Candidate For Major Head Coaching Job

With the impending departure of head coach Chris Klieman to Kansas State, North Dakota State has already begun looking for new candidates.According to FootballScoop, among the candidates for the North Dakota State job is a member of the Iowa coaching staff: offensive line coach Tim Polasek.Polasek just finished his second regular season with the Hawkeyes. He has held the position since February 2017.Per @FootballScoop , Iowa OL coach Tim Polasek is a candidate for the vacancy at NDSU #Hawkeyes— Dustin Schutte (@SchutteCFB) December 13, 2018Prior to his stint with the Hawkeyes, Polasek spent three seasons as North Dakota State’s offensive coordinator and RBs coach under previous head coach Craig Bohl.Other candidates named in the report are current North Dakota State defensive coordinator Matt Entz, and Wyoming offensive coordinator Brent Vigen.North Dakota State are currently scheduled to play South Dakota State in the FCS Playoffs Semifinals. Klieman is not expected to leave the position until after the Bison’s final game.
