He had surrendered back to jail on 6 December, 2018, post the procedure. In February 2019, another plea for interim bail on medical grounds had been dismissed by a Supreme Court Bench headed by former Chief Justice of India Ranjan Gogoi, along with Justices Deepak Gupta and Sanjiv Khanna, wherein the Court was not inclined to entertain the petition, but had directed the jail authorities to take the relevant steps according to law to ensure that Yadav’s medical needs were taken care of. Today, a Bench headed by Justice L. Nageswara Rao took into contention the documents of Yashoda Hospital which were submitted by Advocate Vikram Chaudhari, who was representing Yadav. Chaudhari further informed the Bench that the State was opposing the Petition and the Bench sought to hear the stand of the State. Accordingly, the Bench issued notice to the CBI. The matter will now be taken up next week.
